Battelle-Darby Creek Metro Park

•Preschoolers: Ribbit, Ribbit, 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Friday at the Nature Center. Learn about frogs, toads and salamanders through a story, craft and song.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 state Route 161 E., Westerville

•Family Hike, 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Enjoy a 1.2-mile hike on the Goldenrod Trail.

•Warbler Warm-Up, 7 p.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Prepare for warbler migration season with an audio-visual show to discover the best places to see these songbirds.

•Homeschoolers: Seeds and Sprouts, 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Nature Center. Look for sprouting seeds under leaves and discover how seeds work. Bring a styrofoam egg carton to make a recycled seed sprouter.

Highbanks Metro Park

•Pollinators on the Loose, 2 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Learn about honeybees and other pollinators and why plants need them.

Prairie Oaks Metro Park

3225 Plain City-Georgesville Road, West Jefferson

•Off the Beaten Path, 2 p.m. Saturday at the park office. Join a naturalist for a rugged, three-mile off-trail hike.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville

•Fast-Paced Adult Full Moon Hike, 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Apple Ridge bulletin board. Take a fast-paced 2.8-mile hike along gravel, paved and natural-surface trails.

Scioto Audubon Metro Park

400 W. Whittier St., Columbus

•Fun to the Midnight Hour, 9 p.m. to midnight Friday. The climbing wall and dog park will remain open, as well as the fishing dock on the Scioto River.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

6911 Cleveland Ave., Westerville

•GPS Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Search for plastic eggs hidden throughout the park for a chance to win a prize. Limited GPS units available; or bring your own.
