Citrus-bronzed shrimp

Citrus-bronzed shrimp



  • ½ C brown sugar
  • 1T, 1t cumin
  • ½ t kosher salt
  • 1/8 t cayenne
  • 1 t granulated garlic
  • 1 t lemon pepper
  • 1lb of 16/20 shrimp, peeled with tail on
  • 6-inch skewers
  • Fresh cilantro
  • 1 lemon



Thoroughly combine all dry ingredients.

Dust shrimp liberally with bronzing spice.

Pan sear shrimp in a skillet for 2-3 minutes each side, or skewer and grill,  2-3 min per side

Skewer the shrimp (if needed) and brush with clarified butter prior to serving. Sprinkle with freshly chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lemon.

Reserve left over rub for future use.
