Chorizo sloppy joe sliders

Ingredients

 

  • • 1/2 lb chorizo
  • • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • • 1 jalapeño, minced
  • • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, minced
  • • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • • 2 cup ketchup
  • • 2 shakes tabasco
  • • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • • 1 cup water
  • • 2 tsp cider vinegar

 

Procedure

Brown chorizo and pork in a sauce pan. Add onions and sweat until clear. Add peppers, jalapeño, and garlic and continue to cook 5 minutes.

Add spices and liquids and bring to a simmer.

Reduce liquids until a creamy sauce has formed (approx. 5 minutes).

Brush slider buns with butter and toast on grill for several seconds. Place sloppy joes on top of toasted buns and serve.
