Krajcik to ‘turn up amps’ for July Fourth
Since his appearance on The X Factor, Josh Krajcik has had the chance to play around the country and overseas, as folks all over the world have been introduced to his music. But you won’t find him complaining about a gig close to home.
He’s got a new record, Blindly, Lonely, Lovely, out and is playing Dublin’s Independence Day Celebration at Coffman High School stadium, opening for Chicago.
“I’ve called Columbus home for about 12 years now,” the Wooster native told The Beat. “It’s become home to me.”
“And to play with Chicago ... those guys are legends. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the holiday than with these guys in my hometown.”
Krajcik added that the party atmosphere of an outdoor concert was something to which he was looking forward. Since his album was released, he’s been playing clubs. He said the intimate shows are a treat, as he gets to perform up close and personal for fans, but that an outdoor show “is just party time, a chance to turn up the amps.”
