Married in Hawaii

Michele Baker, daughter of Gary and Linda Baker of Worthington, was married to Michael Obal, son of Michael and Margaret Obal of Manassas, Va., on May 26, 2013, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Alice Inoue.

The maid of honor was Laura Nicely and the matron of honor was Micah Winkler McGlinchey. Bridesmaids were Katelyn Baker, Jennifer Steele, Kristen Savko Lagao, Emily Bowman Klaparda and Blair Metcalfe Scheks. The best men were Christopher Obal and Kyle Baker. Groomsmen were Shea Hart, James Bearden, Adam Knox and Jason Morales.

The bride graduated from Thomas Worthington High School in 2000. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University in 2004 and a master's degree in public health from the University of Colorado in 2011.

The groom graduated from Paul VI Catholic High School in 2001. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 2005 and a master's degree in business administration from Indiana University in 2012. He is a captain in the U.S. Army.

The couple took a wedding trip to the islands of Lanai, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island. They reside in Honolulu, Hawaii.
