At the Westerville Community Center, staff members understand that birthdays can be stressful for parents.

That's why the city-owned facility focuses on taking care of all the details so parents can relax, said program supervisor Lyn Kiger.

"The birthday party leader will do everything," she said. "Parents can sit back, take pictures and enjoy their child's birthday."

Party leaders are trained to keep events running smoothly, she said.

"They want to create a special moment for the children," Kiger added.
