* Step Back in Time, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays throughout November at the Nature Center. This series celebrating the park's 40th birthday will cover different topics each week, including edible plants, pioneer toys and historic artifacts. Crafts and games also will be offered.

* Preschoolers: Hibernation Time, 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Heritage Nature Center, 551 Wirt Road. Learn how wild animals stay warm in the winter through activities.
