Melt Bar & Grilled, the popular grilled-cheese destination in the Short North, has announced it is opening a second central Ohio location in Easton Town Center.
The 5,013-square-foot Melt, to be located in the new Easton Gateway, is expected to open in October 2014.
The restaurant will have the same zany decor and comfortable ambience, extensive beer selection and a distinct exterior design, company officials said.
It will be the seventh store in the Cleveland-based chain. The first Columbus location opened last fall in the Short North.
“To be opening a second location in Columbus in just a year is an amazing feeling,” Melt owner Matt Fish said in a prepared statement.
“We are already in love with our Columbus fans and can’t wait to be a part of this new development in Easton.
“It’s definitely a chance to bring the Melt flair and personality – and, of course, food – to a whole new population, both local to and visiting the Easton neighborhood.”
