'True heroes' need community support

To the editor:

On Oct. 31, 2011, I received the call no parent wants to receive at 7 a.m.: "Mom, we have been in an accident."

My children were involved in a serious car crash in Reynoldsburg. When I arrived on the scene, the Truro Township Fire Department was there in full force, assessing the situation and caring for the injured. They treated my children in a professional, very caring and calming manner.

When I arrived, they were no different to me and made sure that we were all OK.

We should be very proud of the men and women that come to our aid in a time of need. They are true heroes and should be supported to be able to continuing doing what they do best, caring for the residents or Reynoldsburg and Truro Township.
