Thanks for patronizing 'Sundays at Scioto' series

To the editor:

I would like to thank all of the Dublin residents and visitors who joined us in Scioto Park for the 29th annual DAC Sundays@Scioto concert series.

It is indeed a pleasure to bring these free Sunday evening concerts to our community each summer.

The bands and I were disappointed that we had to cancel two of the concerts because of inclement weather, but we were so pleased to offer the remaining concerts. I am grateful for the community's continuing support through contributions, sponsorship and partnerships.

The DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series was provided as a free gift to the community through the corporate support of Cardinal Health, Fifth Third Bank, IGS Energy, Standley Law Group LLP, Porter, Wright, Morris and Arthur LLP, and media partners CW Columbus, WCBE Radio and ThisWeek Community News.

The event is further supported by in-kind contributions of services from the city of Dublin and sustaining grant support from Ohio Arts Council and the city of Dublin.

I am also grateful to Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams for adding to the festive atmosphere and for generously providing a portion of ice cream sales proceeds to benefit Dublin Arts Council.

I'd also like to extend a special thanks to Vince Vannicelli and his entire team from the city of Dublin who helped with setup, parking and logistics, always demonstrating a genuine concern for each of our guests every week.

The Dublin Arts Council is proud to be a part of a community that values the arts and supports our programs in such a meaningful way.

We encourage your readers to become involved with our organization by viewing an exhibition, attending a special event, and by visiting the many public art works throughout Dublin.
