To the Editor:

I strongly support Issue 56, the senior services levy.

Issue 56 supports the Franklin County Senior Options Program, which provides home-delivered meals, assistance with bathing and other key services for frail seniors.

This levy also provides grants to Northwest Counseling Services and to the Upper Arlington Commission on Aging for their local programs.

Northwest Counseling's Older Adults Program provides home visits, medical transportation, linkage with key resources and helps seniors plan for the future. Caregiver consultation is also offered so that family members can reduce stress and find needed in-home services. Funding from the senior services levy is essential for these services.

The Upper Arlington Commission on Aging is a strong, local program which offers Kind Call, the File of Life and numerous educational opportunities. The senior services levy is essential for this organization's support.

Issue 56 is an excellent value for today's seniors, their family caregivers and overall, for our community.

I hope you will join me in supporting this important issue.
