To the Editor:

As a resident of Norwich Township with a daughter in the Hilliard school district, I am supporting Maureen Reedy for the 24th Ohio House District, representing Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Clintonville and Norwich and Brown townships.

I met Maureen in 1985 as a student teacher in her fourth-grade classroom. Maureen's inspiring teaching abilities were evident even in those years before her selection as Upper Arlington's Teacher of the Year in 2001 and Ohio's Teacher of the Year 2002. She supported and encouraged her students to love learning and push themselves to achieve their best.

I offer my support and encouragement to Maureen, a new type of leader for our Statehouse. Maureen's leadership and passion in the field of education at the local and state levels have led her to testify at the Statehouse and participate in many meetings with legislators from both political parties throughout the past decade.

This year, Maureen has taken a leave from her teaching position (and salary) to knock on thousands of doors throughout our 24th Ohio House District. She is listening to our concerns and sharing her beliefs on building a more responsive state legislature.

I strongly encourage residents of the 24th district to vote for Maureen Reedy.
