To the Editor:

Once again, Weaver Middle School would like to thank many people in the Hilliard community for supporting "Be Real, Be You Day."

It was an exciting opportunity for eighth-grade girls and guys to "be the best that they can be" mentally, physically and socially.

Many Hilliard residents and businesses who volunteered their time include: Robb Irvin, owner of Team Players Taekwondo Center of Hilliard, Detective Wells from the Hilliard police department and Lisa Barnes, owner of Hair Time Salon. Other organizations supporting our day included: Youth to Youth, the Girl Scout Council and the Nationwide Children's Hospital Behavioral Health department.

We would especially like to thank the three Hilliard McDonald's restaurants for providing lunch for 400 eighth-graders and Justice at Sawmill Road for a fun fashion show. Coca-Cola also made donations for our special day.

In addition, the Hilliard YMCA opened its doors again to 200 girls for a fun afternoon of fitness activities and SportsOhio welcomed 200 young men for exercise and team-building activities.

We are very appreciative that the Hilliard community supports the work we are doing for middle school students.
