To the Editor:

Once again this year, Worthington City School District students and staff members have shown their commitment to providing food to those in need.

Nine schools conducted food drives to benefit the St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Michael Church, and because of this generosity, the St. Vincent dePaul Society and church parishioners are able to give food boxes and Sponsor-a-Family gifts to 112 families who are in need.

This program, which is in its 10th year, is a collaboration between school staff and St. Michael Church to brighten the holiday for many people. Additional support was provided by the Mount Scholars from the Ohio State University and Worthington Kilbourne Middle School students, who unloaded trucks and sorted the food.

With additional contributions from the Colonial Hills Civic Association, Cub Scout Pack 365 and the Mount Scholars, more than 13,000 items were collected.

Many thanks to everyone involved.
