Thanks to a local 'icon'

To the Editor:

This letter is to thank the Arlington Marathon located at the corner of Northwest Boulevard and North Star Road for all the many years of wonderful service.

I know that my thanks are echoed a thousand times by others that were served at Arlington Marathon. It was more than a gas station -- it was a local icon. It was the place that helped many people in many ways.

It was one of the last full-service gas stations in the area that pumped gas for the elderly and the handicapped, and always with a smile.

The Miller family has converted the Arlington Marathon to a Certified NAPA Auto Care Center. My family and friends will continue to use their service and I hope you will also.
