Fundraiser will help thespians with trip to Scotland
To the Editor:
The Gahanna Lincoln High School drama students, who are planning to travel to Edinburgh, Scotland, to perform in the 2013 Fringe Festival, had an overwhelmingly successful spaghetti dinner and auction fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 24. The event was held in the cafeteria at Gahanna Lincoln High School and raised approximately $5,000. These proceeds will help to defray the cost of each student's trip.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank the Gahanna community, parents and families who attended, as well as Gahanna-area businesses that made substantial contributions by donating food and beverages. The businesses contributing to the success of this event were Rotelli's, the Chocolate Tree, Mykonos Taverna & Bakery, Tim Hortons, Golden Delight Bakery, Kroger, Cap City Diner, WesBanco and Java's.
The Gahanna Community Theatre showed its support by presenting a generous donation to help the "GLHS Thespian Group" get to Scotland.
We wish to thank all of those who attended and ask that they continue to support the GLHS drama program in its efforts to make this once-in-a-lifetime trip a reality.
