Baker 'understands fiscal responsibility'

To the Editor:

I have enjoyed living in Hilliard for more than 20 years.

It has been a pleasure to observe its growth both in size and prosperity during this time. This prosperity is the result of managed growth, responsible fiscal management and the ability to create good jobs within our city.

Our current administration and City Council have worked together to create a great place to live, work and to obtain an excellent education.

Tom Baker was recently appointed to City Council to complete an unexpired term. He is now running for election to a full term.

Tom is the owner of a small business in Hilliard. He is a longtime resident and he has had three children graduate from the Hilliard City Schools.

Tom is a proponent of job growth as evidenced by his recent tenure as chairman of the Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce. As a small business owner, he understands fiscal responsibility and the importance of managed growth.

Given his qualifications and experience, I urge you to vote for Tom Baker in the primary election May 7.
