To the Editor:

My daughter, Amy Nichols, has been a client of Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities for over 15 years. Prior to that, she received services in Union County.

Amy is fortunate to have full-time employment. She has worked at Lab Corp in Dublin for over 18 years.

Amy leaves home for work at 4:30 a.m. daily. She has missed only about three days in 18 years. In addition to her wages, her employer provides a generous benefits package. Amy is very proud of her work record.

DCBDD provides most of her transportation cost. This is the only service Amy receives. Her family provides for all her other needs.

Amy cannot drive. Transportation assistance is essential if Amy is to maintain her employment and remain a productive member of the community.

Please support DCBDD and vote "yes" on May 7. Continued support from the DCBDD is crucial to my daughter and others.
