To the Editor:
It was a beautiful weekend for the 40th Annual Westerville Area Chamber Music & Arts Festival, July 13-14 at Heritage Park. The weather encouraged residents and tourists to enjoy local and traveling artists, musicians and children laughing and playing. Thank you to the thousands of patrons visiting this year's 40th Annual Music & Arts Festival.
This annual event is one of the many community events that make Westerville one of the "Best Places to Live in the U.S." -- a place that appreciates arts, quality of life, and demonstrates a partnership of business and public services.
Forty-seven chamber businesses and 98 volunteers helped make the weekend possible. The Heartland Bank Stage and Alliance Data Community Stage featured musical acts sponsored by Emerald Bank, Walmart, Village of Westerville Retirement Center, Roush Honda, and NewsRadio 103.9 FM/920 AM. Strolling performers were sponsored by IHA Immediate Health Urgent Care Centers @ Westar and Nationwide Children's Hospital Westerville Close to Home Center. Patrons escaped the sun under the Mount Carmel St. Ann's and WindowPro shade tents, or in the Everal Barn for the Mount Carmel St. Ann's Silent Auction and Nationwide Children's Hospital Westerville Close to Home Center Youth Exhibit. OhioHealth shuttles transported guests to and from the festival grounds while Feridean Commons, Rife's Auto Body and Fred Astaire golf carts shuttled exhibitors.
We hope you were greeted by presenting sponsor Heartland Bank, walked through the KEMBA Financial Credit Union Westerville Walkway and purchased a T-shirt supported by Associated Insurance Agencies.
Additional festival supporters include: A Gal Named Cinda Lou, Amish Originals, Benchmark Insurance, Cartridge World, Darden Memorials, Delaware County Bank, Fitness 19, Gerhart Travel, Home Helpers/Direct Link, Human Resource Services, Iron Pony Motorsports, Kroger, Lake Forest/Kensington Grove/St. Andrews Apts., Morgan's Treasure Custom Jewelry, Muth & Co. Roofing, NovaCare Rehabilitation, Simply Green Cleaners, SAM's Club, S&M Rent-A-Space, TAT International, ThisWeek Community News, Trimble Insurance, Wesley Glen Retirement Community, and WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone.
Vincent Neal, KEMBA Financial Credit Union, served as the festival committee chairman. Steering committee members John Lubinsky, Bob Gibson, Erin Glaser, Jill Beck, Phyllis Self, Kyle Kridler, Kim Gerhart, Dr. Jan Fedorenko, Stephanie Bond, Janelle Myers, and Mitzi Flannery as well as the many chamber members who assisted during the festival were extremely valuable. We could not have the festival without each of their contributions.
Our partners: Westerville Public Library, Westerville Parks & Recreation, Westerville Electric Division, Westerville Fire and EMS, Westerville Water Division and Westerville City Schools all extended a helping hand to assist in this Westerville tradition.
We hope the festival was a highlight of your summer and an event that gives you pride to be part of Westerville.
