Candidates should seek office on individual merit
To the Editor:
I was sorry to see in the paper that three candidates had decided on a "joint run for school board" in Westerville.
When candidates run as a "team" for political office you have a "party."
I strongly feel that candidates should run as individuals on their individual merits.
I don't know these particular gentlemen. They may be very good candidates.
But if so, they should be judged capable or not on their own merits, not as a group.
