To the Editor:

Sponsorship for the 93rd annual Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival was at a record high, which we believe is proof the business community appreciates the event and what it brings back to them throughout the year.

This year, on Saturday evening, a rain shower moved through, but it didn't keep the band from playing on, even though the crowd was smaller than we would have liked. Sunday was a great day all day for the car show. The reaction and comments we received on the festival entertainment were absolutely astounding and the reaction to our parade marshals was great. Discounted ride wristbands were also a hit on Saturday and Sunday.

On behalf of the entire Labor Day Committee, I want to thank everyone for coming out this year and for their continued support in making Labor Day a special time for the greater Canal Winchester area.

We also want to put out a special thank you to our major sponsors: Diley Ridge Medical Center, MG Abbott Electric, Jeff Wyler Chevrolet, Bob McDorman Corvette Museum, Violet Township trustees, Madison Township trustees, Hahn Pest Management, Mac's NAPA Auto Parts, city of Canal Winchester and the Peggy Wood family.

And a thank you to our festival supporters: Kingy's Pizza, Mike Hummel Farms, Jim Stevenson Farms, Associates Title Inc., Casto Management, Canal Banking Center, Nowstalgic Toys, South Central Power, Ronnie Woodrow & Core Associates HER Team, Bird & Bull Engineers, Isaac Wiles Bukholder & Teetor law firm, Storage One, Harvest Moon Cafe, American Air, Paradise Froyo, Romans Pizza, C'est Si Bon Crepe Shop, Extreme Graphics, Waibel Construction, Advanced Training, Urban Images Photography, The Movement Center, Anita Albigali and Avon, Orchids and Ivy the Flower Post, Canal Wigwam, Shade on the Canal and Fantasy Cupcake

We hope all our sponsors and more will be back next year as we plan an even better festival - they are the ones who make it happen.
