Jill Schuler 'always gives 100 percent,' has children in district
To the Editor:
I am writing to encourage Gahanna residents to vote for Jill Schuler for Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education on Nov. 5.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Jill over the past two years. Our daughters play on the Gahanna Soccer Association's middle school soccer team. Sitting through practices and games, I have learned a lot about her character.
Jill decided to run for a seat on the board four years ago after realizing none of the board members had children in Gahanna schools. She has four children in Gahanna schools and thought it was important to have an engaged and concerned parent on the board.
Jill always gives 100 percent to whatever she is engaged in, whether it's running her kids around or taking time to listen to a friend in need.
Her community involvement extends beyond the school board. She also sits on the Gahanna Residents In Need board and the city's parks and recreation board.
While she is actively involved, she always has time to listen to residents. She personally spoke with me about a school uniform policy district officials are considering. A proponent of choice, I now understand the other side of this issue.
Jill is always positive and upbeat, even during the most difficult controversies. She has an amazing ability to put a smile on your face, and her positive attitude rubs off on others around her.
Most importantly, she is the only candidate on the November ballot with experience. She has proven her leadership and dedication to the district. Vote for Jill Schuler on Nov. 5.
