To the Editor:
My name is Bryan Lenzo and I am running for re-election to Pataskala City Council. I would like to share my vision for the next four years for our home.
The number one issue facing our community is continuing to repair, reconstruct and maintain our infrastructure. Since the income tax was passed, the city has invested millions to bring our streets up to an acceptable level; however, there is much more work to be done. During the next four years, City Council will need to continue to address this unavoidable infrastructure crisis and I believe I have the plan and record to continue to move us forward.
The safety of our community also must remain a top priority. Our police department has experienced much needed growth -- in personnel, support equipment and the facility the past four years. We should continue to invest in our police department to ensure that our city remains the safe place we want for our families.
Perhaps the greatest progress that our city has achieved over the last four years is now we can consider our investment in the city's parks to be a top priority.
Many volunteers have done a miraculous job keeping our parks afloat. I believe the city has a fundamental responsibility to again take ownership of the parks, revitalize them, maintain them and begin to provide our citizens with a basic level of parks programming. When I am re-elected, I will advocate for the adoption of a comprehensive parks asset-management plan.
On Nov. 5, I ask for your vote so that we can continue to move Pataskala forward. I am always available to you to answer any questions about my background or record of public service by phone at 614-364-5322 or email at email@example.com.
