Fourth of July activities scheduled in Bexley:

8 a.m. -- John Barr 5K race, register at the Jeffrey Mansion, 165 N. Parkview Ave. Parking is available at the pool parking lot on Clifton Avenue.

8:30 a.m. -- Bicycle decorating, at Maryland Elementary front lawn, 2754 Maryland Ave.

9:30 a.m. -- Parade begins at the corner of Maryland and Roosevelt avenues.

11:30 a.m. -- Reading of the Declaration of Independence by Ben Heckman, 622 Euclaire Ave.

Evening festivities will be held in the Main Street and College Avenue area of the Capital University campus.

6-7:30 p.m. -- Music in the Meadow performs.

6-9:30 p.m. -- Cookout held by the Boy Scouts.

6-9 p.m. -- Bexley Historical Society ice cream sale.

6-9:30 p.m. -- Activities including face painting, balloons, games and merchandise, restaurant and artisan displays.

7:30-8:25 p.m. -- Urban Transit performs.

8:25-9:30 p.m. -- Big Rockin' Blues Band performs.

9:30-9:45 p.m. -- Saints Drumline show and march to fireworks launch site.

9:45-10:15 p.m. -- Fireworks at the university soccer fields at the corner of Astor and College avenues.
