The Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO) will hold its seventh annual Buddy Walk at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Columbus Crew Stadium.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. The cost is $15 for an individual and $25 for a family. Families, schools, companies and agencies are all invited to walk as a team.

Parking is free, and the Buddy Walk will take place rain or shine.

Individuals with Down syndrome, families and friends walk a one-mile course. Activities include face painters, tattoos, balloon artists and clowns. Musician Arnett Howard will perform.

The National Down Syndrome Society established Buddy Walk in 1995 to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to raise funds for education, research and advocacy programs.

Last year DSACO raised more than $200,000 at the Columbus Buddy Walk.
