The Bexley High School Theatre Department will present an updated version of William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" in the Bexley High School Schottenstein Theatre.

Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 20-21, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.

Admission is $4 for students and $6 for adults, with discounts available for senior citizens.

Directed by Rebecca Rhinehart, the performance marks the first time that many Bexley thespians have worked on a Shakespeare play.

"I often tell students that Shakespeare is meant to be seen and not read -- from the video screens to the physical comedy. I think this play proves me right," Rhinehart said in a press release.

Though she kept the Shakespearian language, much of the set represents a "punk rock" take on the jovial mood and music included in the performance, Rhinehart said.
