Harley: In your opinion, what is the best thing about your job? Why do you enjoy doing what you do?
Jane Jones: There are many positive aspects of our job. We truly enjoy working with people and helping them with their real estate needs in any circumstance.
As Realtors, we enjoy being connected in the community and appreciate the opportunity to interact with many people. Our team has been very successful when it comes to assisting people with transitions in their lives.

Harley: What is your best advice for first-time home buyers and sellers?
Jane Jones: Always use a Realtor when purchasing or selling a home! It's so important to find one you can trust.
Buying or selling a home can be an emotional experience. Make sure you can communicate with your agent on all levels. In many ways, your Realtor acts as a business partner and a friend.

Harley: What are some of the benefits of owning a historic home?
Jane Jones: Karma, character and charm. When you purchase a historic home, you are purchasing history. You are investing in a distinctive, unique, custom home built for a specific person.
There are also tax incentives available for preserving or restoring a historic home. When it comes down to it, owning a historic home is a true investment.

Harley: How can you market a home in ways that a For Sale by Owner can't? Why should people come to you instead of selling a home themselves?
Jane Jones: When using a real estate agent, you open your door to many advantages. A real estate professional has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of buying or selling a home. The real estate agent you choose has access to trends in the market, professional contacts within the real estate community, a wide selection of advertising and marketing opportunities, as well as extensive Internet tools.

Harley: What are some of the first things potential buyers notice about a house when they visit it?
Jane Jones: First impressions are very important. The most important is cleanliness and tidiness as you enter the home, whether it's a fixer-upper or a new build. A buyer begins judging the home as soon as he or she approaches the property.

There are many things to take into consideration. Most important is the appearance of the interior, including ceiling cracks, wall cracks, cosmetic issues and windows. In this market, buyers are looking for perfection when purchasing a home.
