Bexley resident Zach Klingenberg is one of the local Irish step dancers who will compete at the 2009 World Championships, to be held April 5-12 in Philadelphia.

Bexley resident Zach Klingenberg is one of the local Irish step dancers who will compete at the 2009 World Championships, to be held April 5-12 in Philadelphia.

The dancers are students of the Richens/Timm Academy of Dance.

To qualify for the championships, the dancers advanced through local, regional and national levels of competition.

At the championships, dancers will compete in solo dances against the world's best Irish step dancers.

Klingenberg, 16, is a junior honor student at Bexley High School. This is his seventh trip to the world competition. He placed ninth in 2006 and 15th in 2007. Klingenberg also placed second in the 2006 North American Championships and fourth in the 2008 Mid-American Championships.
