What's Bugging You: Family Program, 1 p.m. Saturday at the naturalist's office. Learn about the myths and legends surrounding insects on a half-mile walk.

Ride With a Ranger, 1 p.m. Sunday at the naturalist's office. Take an eight-mile bike ride on the Darby Creek Greenway Trail.

Stream Quality Monitoring Workshop, 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Indian Ridge bulletin board. Learn how to become a Stream Quality Monitoring volunteer for the Ohio Division of Natural Areas and Preserves.

Howl at the Moon, 9 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the pet trail parking lot, 2914 Georgesville-Wrightsville Road. Bring your canine companion on a two-mile hike.

Moths of May, 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ash Grove Picnic Area. Use black light and bait to lure these nocturnal insects.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

Family Fishing, 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the maintenance area. Fish for sunfish in Thoreau Lake. Catch and release only. Some gear will be available.

Turtle Time, 10 a.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Meet turtles and take a 0.6-mile hike to Thoreau Lake to see turtles in the wild.

Friday Night Fishing, 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the Springhouse Program Area, for ages 15 and younger. Limited poles and bait will be available to fish in the pond.

Highbanks Metro Park

Stream Quality Monitoring Workshop, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Big Meadows Picnic Area. Learn how to become a Stream Quality Monitoring volunteer for the Ohio Division of Natural Areas and Preserves and monitor a state scenic river.

Senior Exclusive: Hook, Line and Paddle, 10-11:30 a.m. Friday at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard. Try your hand at fishing and paddle a canoe on the lakes. Bring lunch.

Saturday Late Night Fishing, noon-midnight Saturday at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard. Fish the Darby Bend Lakes and Beaver Lake.

Children's Sunset Fishing, 8 -9:15 p.m. Friday at the Schrock Lake west bulletin board. Ages 15 and younger are invited to try and catch a fish. A limited number of poles and bait will be available.

Osprey Watch, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wetlands Wildlife Refuge. Take a 1.5-mile walk in search of ospreys.

Help Our Garden, 2 p.m. Saturday at the naturalist's office. Help plant flowers and weed the wildlife garden and learn how plants are vital to insects and other animals.

Gone Fishing, 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday at the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area. Try to catch a fish in Buzzard's Roost Lake, for ages 15 and younger. Poles and bait available.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

Washday Blues, 1-3 p.m. Sunday. Help with the laundry, try the scrub board, wringer and sad iron and watch as soap is made from lye and lard.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Let's Go to the Movies, 9 p.m. Saturday at the Program Amphitheater. Take in a family-friendly nature film under a starry sky. Popcorn provided. Bring blankets.

All Aboard, 1 or 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Confluence Trails bulletin board. Hop on the tram to discover plants and animals preparing for summer.
