The city of Bexley will hold a public meeting Thursday to discuss improvements to Sheridan and Francis avenues.

The city received a $2.8-million grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission to fix water lines and repair all or part of Francis, Pleasant Ridge and Sheridan avenues.

Service director Bill Harvey told Bexley City Council on Tuesday that there would be a public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at City Hall to answer questions from residents.

He said the opening date for bids for the project is July 7.

"Hopefully, we will get some quality companies," Harvey said. "Ideally, I would like to get it done this year."
