Jewish Family Services' office of career and work force development will offer a free workshop called "Weathering the Storm: Tools, Tips and Strategies for Navigating Your Job Search During a Recession."

The workshop, to be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Congregation Torat Emet, 2375 E. Main St., is modeled after a program offered by Boston's Jewish Vocational Services.

The two-hour workshop will be facilitated by a JFS career consultant and will address understanding job transition, conducting a strategic job search, marketing, networking and staying motivated through the process.

The workshop also will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at Congregation Tifereth Israel, 1354 E. Broad St., and from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 10 at Congregation Beth Tikvah, 6121 Olentangy River Road.
