Creek Metro Park

1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway

Darby Creek Day, 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Indian Ridge bulletin board. Enjoy seining, noodling for mussels, canoeing, fly-fishing, live animals and more along the creek. Agencies involved in protecting the Darby Watershed will be represented.

Harvest Full Moon Hike, 7 p.m. Monday at the naturalist office. Take an invigorating four-mile hike.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park

6975 E. Livingston Ave., Reynoldsburg

Tram Tour, 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ash Grove Picnic Area. The tram will run continuously for rides through the park.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

4265 State Route 161 E., Westerville

Audubon Bird Hike, 8 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Search for birds on a two-mile hike.

Fading Voices of Fall, 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Take a two-mile hike and listen for the last choruses of insects before the frost silences them.

Off-Trail Hound Hike, 1 p.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Take a 1.5-mile walk off-trail around Thoreau Lake.

Chestnut Ridge Metro Park

Rising Moon Hike, 7 p.m. Friday at the Springhouse Program Area. Take a two-mile hike.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

9801 Hyland Croy Road, Plain City

Green Energy: Ohio Solar Tour, noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the Energy Center (at the wind turbine). Learn about the park's wind turbine and solar arrays.

Full Moon Horse Ride and Campfire, 7 p.m. Saturday at the Hyland Croy Staging Area. Ride your horse on the five-mile bridle trail then enjoy a campfire.

Highbanks Metro Park

Howl at the Moon 6 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Take a 3.5-mile walk with your dog.

Prairie Oaks Metro Park

Howl at the Moon, 7 p.m. Saturday at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road. Take a leisurely two-mile walk with your dog.

Fall Color Stroll, 2 p.m. Saturday at the Apple Ridge bulletin board. Take a leisurely one-mile stroll through colorful fields and forests.

Adult Full Moon Hike, 7:30-8:45 p.m. Sunday at the Apple Ridge bulletin board. Take a fast-paced 3.5-mile hike along gravel, paved and natural-surface trails. Adults only.

Commit to Be Fit Healthy Hike, 1 p.m. Sunday at the Shady Grove Program Area. Take a leisurely 1.5-mile hike with park rangers.

Hayride and Hoedown, 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area Enjoy a one-mile hayride along a wooded trail and relax to the sounds of bluegrass music by local band Loosely Strung.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

1375 state Route 674 N., Canal Winchester

Fall Harvest, 1-3 p.m. Saturday. Help with seasonal activities as the farm prepares for winter.

Keeping the Harvest, 1-3 p.m. Sunday. Learn about the root cellar and help gather and store vegetables for winter.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Preschoolers: Fall Colors, 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Heritage Nature Center, 551 Wirt Road, Groveport. Hear a story, make a craft and walk around Palm Pond to see autumn colors.
