The Bexley Education Foundation is accepting nominations for its annual educator of the year award.

Educators, students, parents and community members are invited to nominate a Bexley educator whose commitment to the classroom and the community has made a difference in children's lives. Sponsored by the BEF, the award is funded by the Robert A. Glick Endowment Fund of the Columbus Jewish Foundation. Nominations are due by April 9.

The educator of the year is recognized at an education appreciation banquet held each spring. The honoree is awarded a cash gift.

Past recipients of the award are Lisa Viney, Rose Blanchard, Sonja Hutchison, Molly McCarrick, Terry Black, Eric Acton, Carole Ennis, Scott Logsdon, Ken Stewart, Donna Taylor, Karen Hayor, Jim Tatman, Jeff Schneider and Marge Galloway.

Nominations may be turned in to the Bexley Education Foundation, 348 S. Cassingham Road. Nomination forms are available in the school offices and at www.bexleyeducationfoundation.org.

The BEF supports initiatives that help enhance education for students in the Bexley City School District. Since 2003, the BEF has awarded more than $1-million in classroom and impact grants.
