Abby Fagin, a student at Bexley High School, and Aaron Portman, a student at Columbus Torah Academy, are the winners of the JCC Irv Miller Endowment Award.

The award provides $1,000 for each teen to subsidize their participation in the "March of the Living."

The march is an international educational program that brings Jewish teenagers from all over the world to Poland on April 12, which is Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Memorial Day). Participants will march from Auschwitz to Birkenau, and then to Israel.

Fagin and Portman wrote a one-page essay on why they wanted to participate, and what changes they anticipated taking place in their lives as a result of their participation.
