The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is planning its first JCC Independence Triathlon, to be held at 8 a.m. July 4 at Hoover Family Park in Westerville.

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is planning its first JCC Independence Triathlon, to be held at 8 a.m. July 4 at Hoover Family Park in Westerville.

The race will feature a 300-yard serpentine swim in the heated Hoover pool, followed by a 12-mile bike ride on the country roads around the Hoover Reservoir and finish with a flat, out-and-back 5K run.

The JCC is conducting free training programs for members who wish to complete. Free classes will include core training for triathlons, triathlon spinning, swimming lessons and more.
