Blacklick Woods Metro Park

Egg Exploration, 1 p.m. Saturday at the Beech Maple Lodge. Children age 3-8 are invited to explore the world of nests, eggs and camouflage. Each child should bring two-hard-boiled, uncolored eggs and a container.

Blendon Woods Metro Park

Photo Prowl, 9 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Join other photographers for a morning's focus on techniques. Call (614) 895-6221 for information.

Salamanders and Signs of Spring, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Take a short hike and search for salamanders in Ripple Rock Creek.

Preschoolers: Turkey Time, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nature Center. Enjoy songs and a puppet show to learn what the wild turkeys are up to this spring.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

Walk and Woof, 7 p.m. Monday at the bulletin board at the picnic shelter near the main park entrance. Take a 2.5-mile walk with your dog.

Highbanks Metro Park

Eggstravaganza, 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Learn about songbirds, eggs and nests.

Sharon Woods Metro Park

Amphibian Ramble, 2 p.m. Saturday at the Schrock Lake restrooms. Search for frogs, toads and salamanders on a half-mile, off-trail hike through the woods.

Skydancer Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Apple Ridge bulletin board. Watch the woodcock perform his courtship ritual.

Living Historical Farm

We Do Windows, 1-3 p.m. Saturday. Help the farm women do spring cleaning without the help of electricity or other modern aids.

Preschoolers at the Farm: Meet the Sheep, 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. Enjoy a story and craft and learn about sheep. Meet this year's lambs and see sheep-shearing.

Sheep on the Farm, 1-3 p.m. Wednesday. Watch sheep-shearing, meet the lambs and learn about the uses of wool.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Senior Exclusive, 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Heron Pond bulletin board. Ride the tram and see what's green, what's blooming and view other signs of the season.
