Some Bexley students continued their learning days after the end of the 2010-11 school year at Camp Invention Spark, offered through the Bexley City School District's Summer Academy.

Led by Cassingham teachers Jana Clarke and Erica Siddiq, Camp Invention has enrolled 81 students in grades one through six.

The weeklong summer enrichment program is designed to help children build creative thinking skills. Students learn to "produce and consider many alternatives, be open to new ideas, make rich connections, work in teams with diverse perspectives, and imagine possibilities," according to the camp newsletter.

Camp Invention is one of many opportunities for Bexley students during Summer Academy. Several classes and camps are still open for enrollment. Visit bexleyschools.org to see the full course brochure or call 231-7611.
