Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society announced that Melissa Page Ingwersen is the recipient of a 2011 Alumni Achievement Award.

Ingwersen, president of Key Bank's central Ohio district, is responsible for all aspects of its local banking operations.

Prior to this role, she was employed by JPMorganChase for 21 years, most recently as president. During her tenure, JPMorganChase added more than 1,000 jobs in central Ohio and became the region's largest private employer with more than 16,000 employees.

Ingwersen was named to the "Power 100" in 2009 by Smart Business.

Described as a "leader and community servant," Ingwersen spearheaded JPMorganChase's major financial donations to the Columbus community, including lead sponsorship of popular exhibitions at the Columbus Museum of Art and a million-dollar donation to The Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology to support economically distressed children and families.

Additionally, Ingwersen contributes countless volunteer hours to local nonprofit organizations. She is currently chair-elect of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, immediate past chair and board member of Franklin University, and past chair of the YWCA of Columbus. She is also trustee of the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Columbus Museum of Art and Ross Heart Hospital.

Ingwersen was initiated into Mortar Board as an undergraduate at Northwestern University. She is an active member of the Mortar Board Greater Columbus alumni chapter, where she serves as treasurer.
