Actor Jon Voight coming to Bexley
Academy Award winner Jon Voight will visit Bexley on Sunday, March 4, for a special event that culminates with a red-carpet sneak preview of his new film, “Beyond.”
“Beyond,” a supernatural-whodunit-suspense-thriller starring Voight, was filmed entirely on location in Anchorage and Whittier, Alaska. It is the story of a gritty veteran Alaskan detective (Voight) who teams up with a tabloid psychic to track down a missing child. The movie also stars Teri Polo, Dermot Mulroney and Julian Morris.
The Bexley event will be at 7 pm at the Drexel Theater in Bexley, where Voight will greet filmgoers and introduce the movie.
Prior to the screening, Voight will be a guest at an intimate VIP sponsors reception, during which event sponsors will have an opportunity to mingle with him. That event will be catered by Cameron Mitchell. Proceeds will benefit Congregation Torat Emet and, in part, Friends of the Drexel Inc.
Tickets for the sneak preview are $50 and include admission to the film and a concession voucher. Tickets for the movie are available at The Drexel box office or online at Drexel.net. Information about attendance at the reception with Voight, sponsorship opportunities and ticket sales are available through Congregation Torat Emet by calling (614) 238-6778 or emailing info@toratemet.org.
