Hughes unopposed for Senate seat

State Sen. Jim Hughes will run unopposed in the March primary.

He is serving his first term as state senator from the 16th District, which serves the western portion of Franklin County.

Hughes was in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2000 to 2008.

In the Senate, he is chair of the financial institutions committee and sits on the finance committee and the insurance, commerce, and labor committee.
