A crowd of more than 725 people gathered Feb. 25 at the DSW Home Office for Bravo!, the Bexley Education Foundation's annual "winter party with a purpose."

Guests enjoyed food from 22 tasting stations provided by local restaurants and caterers and bid on more than 200 silent auction items and services donated by residents and local businesses, as well as 96 art items created by Bexley students in grades K-12.

Net proceeds from the event are expected to be more than $110,000.

Funds raised at Bravo! -- through sponsorships, ticket sales auction and raffle -- will be used to support the foundation's grant-making program. A total of 875 tickets were sold in advance and at the door.

"The evening was a great success for the foundation, and for Bexley," said Pam Glasgow, the foundation's executive director. "We are grateful to the Bravo! committee members for the countless hours they invested to ensure the success of the event."

Bravo! co-chairs were Emily Schoedinger and Kathleen Russo.

"Emily and I were thrilled at the generosity of DSW," Russo said. "Having the event in their beautiful space for the third year in a row made our job so much easier. We are also grateful for the broad community participation that made this event possible, from teachers and parents who worked with the students on their art projects to community leaders and businesses who supported us in so many ways."
