The Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its fourth Taste of Bexley event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Franklin Park Conservatory, 1777 E. Broad St.

Bexley area restaurants and catering companies will offer taste-sized portions of their dishes.

Participating restaurants include:

Grinders, White Castle and Wing's Restaurant.

"The Taste of Bexley is a fun time for the entire community to come together, enjoy great food from our fine local restaurants, enjoy music and entertainment, provided by hometown talent, and support the Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce," said Greg Margulies, event co-chairman, serving along with Colleen Krupp. Both are Bexley Chamber board of trustees members.

"One of the things that makes the Taste of Bexley such a premier event is that it's family-friendly," Krupp said. "The Taste is a great way to sample the food of some of our best area restaurants, and our sponsors help make this possible."

Celebrity judges on hand to select the Judge's Choice Awards will include: Liza Lee, Columbus School for Girls; Johnny DiLoretto, WCBE's Foodcast; Denvy Bowman, Capital University; and Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler.

The evening will feature entertainment as well as food. Piccadilly Cafe, a children's play cafe in Bexley, is sponsoring a special kids' area.

Tickets for a Taste of Bexley can be purchased in advance at the Bexley Area Chamber of Commerce office, 2770 E. Main St., Suite 5; Bexley Pizza Plus, 2651 E. Main St.; and Bexley Coffee Shop, 492 N. Cassady Ave.
