Thieves take scrap metal from E. Livingston Avenue business

Bexley police said a representative of a business reported individuals were seen on a surveillance camera stealing an engine and other scrap metal from a location in the 2100 block of East Livingston Avenue between Nov. 29 and Nov. 30.

In other recent police reports:

* On Dec. 1, a representative of a business in the 2500 block of East Main Street reported two suspects fled the scene without paying for merchandise. A witness said the men were observed putting merchandise up their sleeves in the wine aisle. The witness reported hearing the sound of clinking glass and the men set off the security system when they exited the store.

* Sometime between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1, a resident in the 700 block of Sheridan Street reported a theft of miscellaneous items from a vehicle parked at the premises.

* A resident in the 2700 block of Allegheny Avenue reported the theft of medications from his home on Dec. 1.

* A man on a stolen bicycle was arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and receiving stolen property following a traffic stop in the 2500 block of East Livingston Avenue on Dec. 4.
