Peer models sought for preschool
To the Editor:
As the site for a preschool classroom for children who have been identified as having a disability, Bexley Schools is letting the community know that spaces are available in the preschool classroom at Montrose for children ages 4-5 who will be peer models in the class.
Teacher Anna Sherwindt and the Educational Services Center of Central Ohio, which operates the preschool, seek to create a typical early childhood learning experience for the classroom of 12 to 14 students. They hope to enroll some seven peer models who have age-appropriate speech, language, self-help and play skills.
Families may enroll their children to attend the preschool this spring and be guaranteed a spot for 2013-2014; or families can apply now for fall 2013.
The program operates from 8:45 to 11:15 a.m., Monday through Friday, following the Bexley City School District calendar. The cost this year is $175 per month with a modest cost increase expected for 2013-14.
Parents who would like to enroll their children or who have questions may contact Susan Cronin at 614-542-4106.
