Shop Hop benefit spotlights fashion, food

Sunday April 14, 2013 9:30 PM

Bexley Shop Hop, the signature fund raising event for the Developmental Assets Resource Network, will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 11 at the Jeffrey Mansion, 165 N. Parkview.

A preview party, with the theme "Disco Fever," will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. May 10. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best disco ensemble for the event, which will feature DJ Dayna spinning tunes. Attendees will be treated to drinks and hors d'oeuvres courtesy of the Top Steakhouse, Old 40 Tavern and others. Tickets start at $40.

Tickets for May 11 will be $5 at the door.

Both events will showcase items from retailers such as Homage, Thread on Grandview, Maia Boutique and the Vest Nest.

Traditionally held in November, organizers have shifted seasons to better accommodate retailers, who are naturally stretched during the holiday season, and guests who desire a broader range of boutiques. Proceeds continue to help area children and families in need.

Event sponsors include Wagenbrenner Realty, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Jimmy John's, First Bexley Bank, Bexley Eastmoor Berwick Realtors and the magazine Capital Style.
