Sunday April 14, 2013 9:47 PM

Whenever something important is happening in Bexley, the mayor always notes that information about it can be found in the weekly Bexley Blast email.

Last week, the city announced that the weekly email newsletter can now be heard over the phone by dialing 614-559-4202. As with the email edition, the Bexley Blast Hotline will be updated every Friday and will include details on upcoming city events and news.

According to the city website, the hotline is being introduced to accommodate "residents who may be less comfortable using Internet communications."

Mayor Ben Kessler said to save callers time, the hotline messages will be slightly edited versions of the emails that are sent to 1,129 weekly subscribers.
