Seminary's music series marks 29th year

Trinity Lutheran Seminary will host its 29th annual Summer Music Series, "Tuesdays at Trinity," on three consecutive Tuesdays beginning June 4 in the Gloria Dei Worship Center on the Trinity campus, 2199 E. Main St.

All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

The series opens with the Raise Choir, under the direction of Raymond Wise. Choir members represent several different churches, choirs and denominations and have performed extensively throughout the United States and abroad.

The Brass Band of Columbus will perform on June 11 under the direction of Brian Stevens. The final performance on June 18 will feature a jazz concert by Tom Battenberg and Friends, with Tom Battenberg on trumpet, Michael Cox on Sax, Mark Flugge on Piano, Terry Douds on bass and Jim Rupp on drums.

There will be a freewill offering at all concerts. Free parking is available.
