The Bexley Women's Club has awarded $1,000 scholarships to six Bexley High School seniors and four area college students.
Pam Pryor, chairwoman of the club's Scholastic Committee, announced the recipients' names at the club's May 21 Iris Reception at the Columbus Country Club. The names of the high school students were announced at the Bexley High School awards assembly, which was held May 22.
High school recipients included: Cody Philips, Tyler Seckel, Christopher Bruegge, Maria Kahan, Abigail Sharp and Sierra Humphrey.
College student scholarships were awarded to: Joseph Macklin, Katlin Hiller, Stephanie Rawlings and Erica Layman.
Proceeds of the annual Bexley House & Garden Tour provide funding for the Bexley Women's Club Scholarship Fund. The sixth annual Tour will be held Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9.
Saturday's preview event will begin at 4 p.m. with a private tour of the homes and gardens and continue with a party under the tent at Columbus School for Girls, 56 S. Columbia Ave. Included in the $50 preview price will be food from 18 local restaurants and vendors, a live band and a tour ticket good for Saturday and Sunday. A cash bar will be available.
The Sunday tour runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday tour tickets at $15 each, on sale until noon June 8, are available at three Bexley locations: Bexley Coffee Shop, Bexley Graeter's Ice Cream and Bexley Pizza Plus and at www.bexleywomen.org.
Day of tour tickets may be purchased for $20 at the ticket office of Columbus School for Girls.
