Bexley: Watch, laptop bag among items taken from vehicles

Bexley police took several reports from people who discovered items had been stolen from their vehicles in the past week.

A resident in the 100 block of South Ardmore Road reportedsomeone stole a Gucci watch valued at $2,800 from a vehicle July 2 while it was parked on Powell Avenue near Ardmore Road.

A resident in the 400 block of North Cassady Road reported that on July 1 or July 2, someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a laptop bag and miscellaneous papers.

A resident in the 700 block of Sheridan Avenue reported that on June 28 or June 29, someone stole a pair of sunglasses valued at $170 and $20 worth of change from his unlocked vehicle.

* A customer at a business in the 2000 block of East Livingston Avenue reported someone damaged her vehicle by breaking the driver's side window while the vehicle was parked in the lot June 30.

* A resident in the 900 block of College Avenue reported that on July 3 or July 4, someone entered his unlocked garage and stole a lawn mower valued at $300 and a weed trimmer valued at $200.

* Residents in the 2600 block of Sherwood Road reported someone broke into their home June 29 by cutting the screen on an open kitchen window and stole a purse that was sitting on a kitchen table. The purse was valued at $150 and contained a cell phone valued at $100.

* A resident in the 600 block of Remington Road reported that on June 28 or June 29, someone broke the lock off of a shed and stole two hedge trimmers valued at $80 each.

* A resident in the 700 block of Sheridan Avenue reported the theft of her bicycle valued at $200 on June 27 or June 28.

* An employee of a business in the 2400 block of East Livingston Avenue reported a man stole a 12-pack of beer valued at $6.99 on June 27.

* A resident in the 2400 block of Elm Avenue reported that on June 24, someone stole her bicycle valued at $150 from an address in the 400 block of Drexel Avenue.
