Mark J. Palmer of Bexley has been reappointed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich to serve a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

* Mark J. Palmer of Bexley has been reappointed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich to serve a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

He will continue serving the board as an investment specialist and will continue serving as chairman of the board's Investment Committee.

Palmer is the chief executive officer of the Joseph Group Capital Management, an independent wealth management firm located in the Arena District.

* Shelly Hoffman of Bexley recently was appointed director of corporate communication at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Hoffman most recently worked for Ohio State University, where she served for nearly eight years in various communication and public relations leadership roles. She served as the assistant vice president for strategic issues management and also managed media relations for the university.

Hoffman is a graduate of Ohio State.
